Do Americans approve or disapprove of Kamala Harris?

As of April 23, 39% of Americans approve of Vice President Kamala Harris, while 56% disapprove.

This is according to a recent poll by the Pew Research Center.

The poll also found that a majority of voters don't view Harris as a strong leader (48% to 42%) or as trustworthy (46% to 42%).

Harris's approval rating has declined since she took office in January 2021.

A November 2021 survey by USA Today found that her approval rating had dropped to 28%, making her one of the least popular vice presidents in recent history.

Harris's approval rating first dropped in April 2021, after she was tasked with leading the Biden administration's efforts to address the root causes of migration from Central America.

Some critics have argued that Harris has not been effective in this role, while others have defended her record.
